I actually didn't / couldn't finish Bel Canto because the foreshadowing of a something bad happening to a certain character was too much for me! IF I DON'T READ ABOUT THEIR DEATH THEN THEY NEVER DIE!!! I read Tom Lake in 3 days, FWIW.

I would LOVE to chat Tom Lake...such a beautifully written book and I don't know if you did physical book or audiobook but Meryl Streep's performance in the audiobook was simply amazing. I read a lot and not one I'll forget for a long while.

I read the physical book but I might have to listen to the audiobook just for Meryl!
I think it would be worth the investment on time and money. She was SO good. It's like it was written for her to perform it.
